Abbeyfeale Community Council (ACC).

www.abbeyfeale.ieEstablished in 2016 as a non-profit association with the aim of acting as an umbrella Group for the community of Abbeyfeale, ACC has now evolved into a community based Company Limited by Guarantee (Clg) along with being awarded Charitable Status from both the Charities Regulator Authority and Revenue. ACC is also a member of and fully compliant with Governancecode.ie. Abbeyfeale Community Council has strong ties with several voluntary groups throughout the local and wider community along with having a solid working relationship with Limerick City & County Council, West Limerick Resources, Limerick and Clare Education & Training Board, Innovate Limerick ... to mention just a few.

Abbeyfeale Tidy Towns Committee.

A dedicated group of volunteers whose passion and love for the upkeep of their community has resulted in Abbeyfeale being awarded increased points from the National Tidy Towns Competition every year for the past five years. The Tidy Towns Committee were also awarded Overall Runners-Up of the County at the JP McManus sponsored 2017 Gold For Gold Competition - a joint project in association with the Abbeyfeale Town Park Committee which saw no less than 3 prizes being awarded to Abbeyfeale.

Established in 1999, this long standing voluntary group continuously fundraise, manage and promote this much admired and award winning 29 acre facility which has evolved into a must stop-off point on many a travelers itinerary. From humble beginnings in the mid 1990’s the Abbeyfeale Town Park Committee has created a safe and family friendly 29 acre Community developed recreational space with meandering walkways and idyllic views of the surrounding countryside. Also included in the park is a Woodland area, a Pond area, a Children’s Playground, a very popular All-Weather Mini-Pitch, a Picnic Area and Public Facilities. The Glórach Theatre is managed on a voluntary basis and is affiliated to Abbeyfeale Folk Limited, a specially set-up Company Limited by Guarantee (Clg) and with Charitable Status. Created and managed by volunteers for the benefit of the community, the much loved Glórach Theatre was developed into a multifunctional 100 seater auditorium, which is well suited for the purposes of facilitating and promoting various Performance Shows, Plays, Cinema Nights, Children’s Workshops, Youth Theatre, Company Meetings, Product Launches, Lectures, Community get-togethers, to mention just a few.
